Beautiful Disaster: Anawangin Cove






There is really something good in everything. Mount Pinatubo's eruption brought us the emergence of Anawangin Cove. It was a beautiful disaster, who have thought that there's a beauty after a tragedy?


Anawangin Cove is located at the beautiful province of Zambales in Luzon. To get there, you'll need to take 4-5 hours of land travel. When you already arrived at the province of Zambales, the adventure doesn't end there. From Barangay Pandaquit or San Miguel in San Antonio, you will have to take a half an hour boat ride to get in one of the best places in Luzon. It may  seem hard to reach, but it was surely worthy of every money and energy you will spend. 

The bus fare from Manila to Zambales costs 270 pesos per person. A tricycle fare of 30 pesos from Pandaquit. The boat rental costs 1500 pesos for 4 persons.  There is only 50 pesos entrance fee for day tour and 150 pesos for overnight. 

Anawangin Cove used to be the hidden treasure of Zambales, before it has been discovered by many. The place is known for it's beautiful landscape and peacefulness. This is the best place for people who wants to escape the stress in the city and to find peace and serenity. Its crystal clear water and tall trees takes you back to simple life in a province. The fresh air that kisses your skin, and the grey sand shore that touches your feet is indeed the best for a getaway. 

It's for people who are tired of fancy things and just want to feel the simplicity of life. Anawangin Cove preserve its remoteness for there were no any hotels or resort within the area. You would have to take another boat ride to stay overnight in a hotel or you could just camp in the cove, which is the best deal. You could bring your own tents and enjoy the night close to nature. Also, you could go stargazing while laying on your tents or socialize with other travelers and have new friends.
