Pipe: An open ended essay

They say "just go with flow", but how would you go with the current that has been drawing you into something that might possibly end? You see, life is a constant deluge of challenges. None of us was given the privilege to be excluded for its trick or to have the immunity of being doomed from the next challenge. Life is not a video game, for we don't play it, put it plays us. It's not that we can have another shot when we lose something nor have the will to change something we have done. We could swim the deepest sea and still wouldn't be able to discover everything in it. That's how life goes, no matter how you think you understand it, you don't really have the certainty of what is coming. Now, imagine life as a pipe with an open ending. Imagine going with its flow, it's ironic how we know that there's uncertainty waiting for us. But if we know that there's uncertainty waiting for us, what really do we know?

Life is the pipe and we, people, are the water flowing through it. There's really nothing we could do to stop the uncontrollable nearing of our nothingness. As we try our hardest to go against the current, the more we are pushing ourselves to the brink of our disappearance. The worst thing about living, is that you know you're only living for a period of time. It sucks knowing that no matter how good your day was, you only have 24 hours to live it. Every moment is like a borrowed one, that you have to return it to the universe sooner or later. Our happiness is debt that we have to pay.

Maybe it's true that when you're dying, you'll see a light like it was inviting you  in a place no one knows where. Just like a pipe disconnected, you know that the ending is near when you see the light shining in your eyes. It's not that different when taking a slide that were fully covered. It is enjoyable as it is, but once you saw the light you already know what it means. Life is fair with being unfair. We could have all the choices in life, but it's funny that we're all destined in an inevitable goodbye.
